Last week Avenue’s Bruno Di Tommazi returned from hosting a group of MICE agents in the Seychelles at 5-star Savoy Resort and Spa.

The most recent addition to Avenue’s portfolio, Savoy Seychelles is a luxury property on Beau Vallon Bay, Mahé, the country’s main island. The resort occupies a prime location on the beach front, has the largest swimming pool in the country and excellent facilities for large events and conferences. It’s also just a 25-minute drive from the international airport.

Five of Avenue’s clients from UK MICE agencies attended including: GLOW, Banks Sadler, Global Events, Bright Sky Events and XSEM.

The trip got off to a fine start with business class flights, courtesy of Etihad Airways. The group loved the ease and comfort of the airline’s ‘dine-on-demand’ service, as well as access to both onboard and airport lounges. Situated at the front of the A380, the business class lounge offers the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy a cocktail whilst watching a movie or match on the big screen. Lounge facilities in Abu Dhabi were particularly impressive: intimate and luxurious with restaurant-quality food and its own spa.

With support from the Seychelles Tourist Board, Mason’s Travel put together a great programme that showed off everything the Seychelles Islands have to offer for groups. Here they are yacht spotting on Eden Island!

Additional highlights included a visit to the most photographed beach in the world, Anse Source d’Argent, and an amazing dinner at La Plaine St Andre.
